Next Tuesday, on 18 May at 4:45 pm a meeting with Katarzyna SADOWSKA, Tax Supervisor at RSM Poland will be held, organised as part of the 14th Tax May Day Picnic. Her speech under the working title “Withholding tax vs. the ‘beneficial owner’ status of the payment recipient + case study” will be addressed to students of the Poznań University of Economics and anyone interested in taxes.
This lecture, organised by the Poznań University of Economics and the TAX Student Research Group is free of charge and open to all, not only those affiliated with the university. It will offer insight into the most essential aspects of withholding tax regulations in force. Our expert will take a closer look at how the payer exercises due diligence in the process of verifying the conditions for the exemption from withholding, lower rate and the absence of withholding tax. She will also discuss how to examine the status of a beneficial owner of payments.
This comprehensive lecture will take one and a half hour and focus on:
- withholding tax regulations in force,
- taxpayer’s obligation to exercise due diligence,
- beneficial owner of receivables: definition,
- investigating the status of a beneficial owner: theory and practice,
- case study.
